Why do we Need a New Boathouse? Rising Gas Prices.

The Wabash Valley Crew currently stores its boats at a temporary facility 10 miles from the Wabash River, necessitating a 20-mile-round-trip drive for each practice. Rising gas prices have significantly increased the cost to get our rowers out on the river. The planned boat house in Fairbanks Park will eliminate the need to haul boats long-distance, insulating the club from rising gas prices. Help us by sharing this blog AND also by donating any amount! RIGHT NOW every financial gift is matched (thus doubled!) by a Wabash Valley Community Foundation grant! Donate today, at the following link, to help us beat high gas prices and move us closer to our goal!
