ABOUT
Wabash Valley Crew was initiated and incorporated in June, 2016.
Participation has grown to include 7th-12th grade rowers from beyond Vigo County and welcomes adult rowers during Summer and Fall open rows.
They row on the beautiful Wabash River out of Fairbanks Park, with the youth program training throughout the winter indoors and competing in the spring.
OUR MISSION
At Wabash Valley Crew, we are committed to developing youth of the Wabash Valley through the sport of rowing. We welcome all backgrounds and abilities and encourage teamwork, discipline and accountability, physical and mental resilience, and community responsibility. Our members learn not only how to be good rowers, but more importantly to be good teammates and citizens, valuable lessons that serve them well on and off the water.

HISTORY
Jack Hill moved to Terre Haute from Dayton, Ohio, where his son had rowed in high school for four years. From his time attending rowing events with his son, Jack helped bring this rare opportunity to Terre Haute. After attending specialized rowing technique and rowing coach training in Florida and Illinois, he co-founded the Wabash Valley Crew Club with Jim Owen in June, 2016.
