Help Us Finish 2022 Strong

Dear Friends,

Happy Holidays from the Wabash Valley Crew!

As you know, 2022 has been an exciting year for the Wabash Valley Crew. In competitions in Illinois, Ohio and Indiana the WVC had their best year yet with One Gold, Two Silver, and One Bronze metals. We are very proud of our rowers' accomplishments, especially going up against established teams with greater resources. The inaugural Corporate Race for the 2022 Corporate Rowing Challenge was a spectacular time and a job well done by all teams! Congratulations to the Terre Haute Police Department who pulled off a great win! We will also launch the Erg Ed Program at Sarah Scott Middle School. This will be the first program of its kind in Indiana.

This year, our team was also fortunate to receive a $150,000 matching grant from the Wabash Valley Community Foundation to help us realize our vision for a much-needed boathouse in Fairbanks Park. The boathouse will support our team as we expand, allow members of the community to enjoy water sports on the Wabash River, and play a role in local health and economic revitalization initiatives.

As we look back on our many blessings in 2022 and look ahead to new accomplishments in 2023, we have set a year-end fundraising goal of reaching $75,000. We are approximately $10,000 away from that goal. We ask that you consider a year-end contribution to help us reach this important milestone: the half-way mark of our fundraising campaign. Your gift is tax deductible, and, through the generosity of the Wabash Valley Community Foundation, all contributions will be doubled. You can give your Holiday gift at: www.wvcf.org/funds/wabash-valley-crew/

Thank you for your continued support, and best wishes for a wonderful new year.
