The Wabash Valley Crew is proud to be part of bringing the George Pocock Rowing Foundation’s Erg Ed® program to Sarah Scott Middle School as part of the physical education curriculum.
This indoor rowing program, the first of its kind in Indiana, uses rowing machines to introduce students to the sport. It also encourages teamwork, promotes a healthy lifestyle, and encourages goal setting.
Based on data from other states, the George Pocock Rowing Foundation estimates that 1 in every 3 Erg Ed® participants will go on to row for a team. A boathouse will help the Wabash Valley Crew attract and support these new recruits, broadening our reach in the community and strengthening our team.
